Our client, a local Commercial REIT and Acquisition company, serving in several US states, is seeking a dynamic and experienced CFO for all Commercial Acquisitions. This position reports to the CEO. The portfolio ranges from 3M Sq. With about 100 properties and growing.

The candidate for this position must possess a a strong background in finance, extensive experience in Commercial Real Estate, and must have demonstrated leadership skills.

This position requires experience in Acquisitions, Capital raising, and commercial development. 

Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA, CFA, or CPA is highly preferred. 
  • A minimum of 10 years as a senior financial manager with a track record in acquisitions and capital raising.
  • Must have Capital Raising experience to be considered. 
  • Background in Acquisition Management is required. 
  • Financial reporting experience, from preparation for presentation of statements, reports, and analysis. 
  • Must have Risk Management experience, able to assess, identify, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Must possess outstanding team leadership and be able to foster a high-performance team.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate finance, capital markets, and investment strategies.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills are required.
  • Proven record of managing a high-performance team.

Duties include:

  • The CFO will provide direction and leadership in all aspects of financial matters, including acquisitions, financial planning, analysis, and capital raising.
  • The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise capital from investors, stakeholders, and other sources and cultivate a strong relationship with the above.
  • Risk management includes identifying, asses, and mitigating financial risks.
  • Capital Raising: Lead and manage capital raising efforts to secure funding for the company. Develop and implement strategies to attract investors and lenders.
  • Reporting Knowledge: Collaborate with the corporate controller to ensure that financial reports meet the expectations of lenders and investors. Have a strong understanding of reporting requirements and best practices, though full responsibility for reporting will remain with the corporate controller.
  • Investor and Lender Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and lenders. Understand their needs and expectations to effectively support capital raising and financial reporting efforts.
