We are seeking a dedicated and professional Bakery Customer Service Associate to join our team.  The ideal candidate will assist with various bakery tasks while providing exceptional customer care.  The role requires a mature, reliable, and pleasant individual who works quickly and efficiently, maintaining a high level of productivity and taking pride in their work. Key responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor. Provide information on products, ingredients, and bakery policies. Handle customer inquiries, orders, and complaints effectively.
  2. Sales and Transactions: Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. Cross sell bakery products.
  3. Product Management:  Assist with preparation and packaging of bakery items. Ensure products are displayed attractively and restocked as needed. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
  4. Bakery Tasks: Assist bakers with basic tasks such as measuring ingredients.  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area and baking equipment.
  5. Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a bakery or food service environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to details and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
