Environmental Operations Operators needed.  Long term and growth opportunities

Starting at $18.25/hr
Normal Hours: 9:15-6:00pm-M-F
Must be flexible and willing to rotate schedules when needed from day shift to nights shift and weekends. (5% shift differential pay will be included)

Job Duties:

  • Receives and Removes waste product.
  • Forklift operating experience preferred
  • Drivers License required
  • Labor intensive
  • Working with low level radioactive material (contained) and waste product.

PPE:

  • Gloves
  • Safety goggles
  • Steel-toed boots

Description:

  • Work in the hazardous waste warehouse, receiving and unloading waste, and managing waste feed during incinerator campaigns while adhering to written instructions and/or training.
  • Provide housekeeping support to Environmental Controls and Incineration Services
  • Summarize observations and activities both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills
  • Perform troubleshooting and demonstrate critical thinking skills
  • Maintain the work area in a state of cleanliness and safety
  • Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and security programs, rules, and procedures.
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment.

General Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Driver’s license
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment including supplied air respirator
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance on a routine basis
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and platforms and work at heights
  • Able to work in a high noise/high temperature environment, indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to handle hazardous materials and adhere to safety protocols
  • ***Willing to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, days or nights
