Leasing Associate Job Description
- The Leasing Associate is responsible for successfully managing leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of the Company’s multi-family residential apartments.
- Key responsibilities include tracking of vacancies and apartment status, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the rental market, tenant screenings, appointment scheduling, updating brokers & agents, and maintaining an acceptable close rate with prospective tenants.
- Analyze all rental applications received (market and subsidy) to confirm the tenant meets Company and owner requirements.
- Responsible for generating and explaining leases and lease terms, maintaining accurate lease records and protecting confidential tenant information.
- Prepare and present in weekly and monthly meetings with Portfolio Management.
- Market available units using Rent Café Site Manager ILS platform and StreetEasy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or related industry or equivalent experience.
- Broad knowledge of NYC real estate.
- Working knowledge of government subsidy applications.
- Strong understanding of effective prospecting and proven ability to close new accounts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional work ethic and integrity.
- Real estate salesperson’s license required or able to obtain.
- Yardi Suite experience preferred.
Compensation
Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience as well as a supplemental team bonus pay. Full benefits, including healthcare and 401(k).
