We are hiring Quality Control Inspectors to ensure the compliance of incoming and outgoing material and components for a manufacturing facility in Durham, Connecticut.

 

Pay starts at $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience, operating on 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm. Quality Control Inspectors must be available to work Saturdays on a rotational basis. 

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in both English and metric; compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs 

 

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will perform Incoming, Pre-Process, and Final Inspection of raw material, components, and assemblies using established procedures and methods.  The Quality Control Inspector communicates inspection results to Engineering and department leads in an orderly and timely manner. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize on a daily basis measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Drop Indicators, Profile projectors, Tool Makers Measuring Microscope, Vision systems, Rockwell Hardness Tester, etc. 
  • Print (when applicable) SPC data from QC Calc software. 
  • Train inspectors on QC department equipment and inspection procedures as assigned. 
  • Respectfully collaborates with peers while maintaining good attendance and punctuality. 
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards. 
  • Properly follow all company procedures and policies.   
  • Use correct PPE per JHAs and Job Description.  
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
