Facility Maintenance Technician

MVP is seeking a experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team that's not afraid of heights or thinking outside the box to provide preventive maintenance on machinery inside and outside the facility as well as keeping the grounds safe and up to OSHA standards. In this role, you may conduct minor repairs with guidance but mostly facility related cleaning, replacing of parts, and grounds maintenance. What You Will Do:
- Provide preventive maintenance on machinery inside, outside the facility, keeps the grounds safe and up to OSHA standards
- Under the supervision of a skilled worker, may conduct minor repairs to the facilities/premises including: painting, patching, office/kitchen equipment, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles.
- Conducts physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, noting any repairs, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and reports same to the appropriate building staff for resolution.
- Performs as-needed cleaning of the facility and premises including any spills on a daily basis beyond the regular custodial services performed by the cleaning staff including trash/debris removal, emptying receptacles, mopping and drying.
- Remove snow from sidewalks using snow blowers, snow shovels and snow melting chemicals.
- Adjust or replace faulty parts (switches, sockets) of electrical/electronic systems relocating circuits to support Operations needs.
- Operate lawn care equipment for weekly grounds maintenance.
- Experience operating different types of powered Industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of overhead crane, drill press, and mills.
- Forklift certified a plus.
- 5-10 years of maintenance / installation experience
- GED or High school Equivalent
- Ability to think critically, analyze problems and come up with effective and efficient solutions is crucial.
- Frequently lifting to 75 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, bend, twist, and reach
- Frequently work at heights greater than 20 feet from aerial work platform
- Wear and use the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the assigned uniform correctly while on duty
- Meet all required attendance standards and expectations
