Property Maintenance professional who possesses strong general repair and maintenance knowledge to join our residential commercial real estate maintenance team.

General Function

The Property Maintenance team performs general building maintenance tasks for multiple residential commercial buildings, including first-class office and residential properties

Position Job Duties and Expectations

Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs in the following trade areas; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

Maintain a courteous and service-oriented professionalism to support a positive rapport with all tenants, vendors, clients, and co-workers.

Provide on-call service for emergency situations (rotating schedule).

Provide snow event support as needed, ensuring all property walkways and parking lots are cleared. Communicate with our third-party snow removal contractors to provide service when needed.

Perform daily inspections of buildings and grounds.

Work with support staff to effectively respond to all tenant repair request and service calls.

Minimum Job Requirements

3+ years of experience performing a variety of building maintenance duties.

HS Diploma, Minimum GED or equivalent; accredited trade school or relevant experience; or relevant training through an apprenticeship program.

General building maintenance and construction knowledge; including basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. HVAC experience is strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills, including a professional and positive demeanor. The ability to work effectively to build and maintain quality relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.

A valid, clean NYS Driver’s License.

Basic computer usage skills, including the ability to use a smartphone.
