Join our team as a Medical Support Specialist where you'll play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring seamless clinic operations. You'll assist in providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a positive clinic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Support:

  • Greet and assist patients during check-in, ensuring accurate collection of medical history and insurance details.
  • Manage patient payments, address billing inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and handle patient inquiries and documentation requests.

Clinical Assistance:

  • Assist healthcare providers in clinical procedures like vital sign measurements and preparing exam rooms.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms between patient visits to uphold infection control standards.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate patient records, both electronic and paper, ensuring completeness and ease of access.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and proper storage.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in quality assurance activities including audits and data collection to improve patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare settings preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
