Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a diligent Planner. The Planner will be focused on coordinating the day-to-day activities of our production department. The Planner will develop weekly production schedules, manage inventory to maintain appropriate levels, and coordinate the availability of raw materials needed for our production process in order to maintain a steady production and product delivery of our HVAC products. The Planner will also be responsible for purchasing materials from suppliers and confirming the quality of the materials/products.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Organize operation through ERP system and manage all ERP/MRP-(Kenandy) data.
  • Establish the master plan and weekly production plan for our company by converting demand (forecast, customer orders, etc.) into a feasible production plan to ensure matched sets of materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner and drive the MRP.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
  • Negotiates with outside supply vendors; ensures accurate and timely delivery of orders and ensures that the quantity and specifications of products are correct. Continuous improvements for SOP and supply chain.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Monitors, identifies and reports all incorrect product structures (BoM’s) to ensure correction via internal engineering change control procedures.
  • Develop master schedule reporting regarding the performance to the business plan, shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan
  • Capacity Management-establish, measure, monitor and adjust levels to effectively execute production schedules.
  • Control Inventory turnover and other related key metrics.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, and customer service staff.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Ability to read, write and speak Mandarin REQUIRED.
  • Bachelor degree or above in a related field required.
  • At least five years of related experience required. HVAC industry experience is a plus.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) a plus.
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP/ERP (Kenandy).
  • Knowledge of production control, cycle times, production planning, capacity planning, master data administration including BOM maintenance.
  • HVAC Industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and our supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills-Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction
