Role Purpose:
We are in search of a meticulous Production Planner. This role is pivotal in orchestrating the daily operations of our manufacturing department. The Production Planner will be responsible for formulating weekly production schedules, overseeing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials essential for our HVAC product manufacturing. Additionally, the Planner will handle procurement from suppliers and verify the quality of incoming materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline operations through the ERP system and manage all relevant ERP/MRP data.
- Develop and implement the master production schedule and weekly plans by translating demand forecasts and customer orders into actionable production strategies, ensuring the availability of materials and capacity to meet customer requirements efficiently.
- Act as the primary liaison among sales, logistics, and manufacturing teams.
- Regularly assess current and projected orders against available raw material inventory, using foresight to procure additional supplies as necessary.
- Negotiate with external suppliers to guarantee timely delivery and compliance with product specifications. Continuously enhance standard operating procedures and supply chain processes.
- Integrate sales orders with the master schedule, coordinating the availability of materials, supplies, equipment, and personnel to meet delivery timelines.
- Monitor and report discrepancies in product structures (BOMs) to ensure compliance with internal engineering change control protocols.
- Generate master schedule reports to evaluate performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans.
- Manage capacity by establishing, measuring, and adjusting levels to effectively execute production schedules.
- Oversee inventory turnover and other critical performance metrics.
- Participate in regular forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and related departments; lead additional planning discussions with sales, production, shipping, and customer service teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Fluency in Mandarin is a mandatory requirement.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is essential.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, with HVAC industry experience considered advantageous.
- APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
- Extensive proficiency in production planning systems, particularly MRP/ERP (Kenandy).
- Solid understanding of production control, cycle times, planning, and master data management including BOM maintenance.
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry is beneficial.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of business operations and supply chain dynamics.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly in Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
