Overview:
AP Health is a private practice comprised of advanced practice providers. We provide perioperative services to hospitals, surgeons, and surgery centers. We partner with hospitals to offer service line coverage with highly trained and knowledgeable advanced practice providers to perform history & physicals (H&Ps), inpatient care, and first assist in surgery.
AP Health’s division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our team in Palm Beach Co, Florida. A successful candidate must have experience in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and cardiac surgery. The position would allow the chosen applicant to first assist in cardiothoracic and perform endoscopic vein harvesting. This is an OR only position.

Reports to the Vice President of Cardiac Services
Position Responsibilities:
- First assisting in surgery for cardiothoracic surgery
- Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
- Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room
- Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon
- Suturing and retracting of tissue layers
- Rotating weekend and weekly night call coverage
Qualifications:
- Experienced in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and Cardiac Surgery
- Current national CSA or RNFA certification
- Current BLS required
- Demonstrates a passion for making a positive difference in patient care
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges
