Our client, a major chemical manufacturing company, is currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for their Jackson, MI, location.  

This is a contract position currently budgeted at 6 months (possibility for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) and a pay rate based on experience.  between $20-$25 hourly (Benefits available) 

 Where the Chemistry Happens: Supply Chain Specialist

Are you ready to be part of a team where the chemistry truly happens? Join our client as a Supply Chain Specialist and play a crucial role in managing our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for planning, procurement, and maintaining inventory levels to meet both company objectives and customer requirements.

 

Formula for Success:

  • MRP Analysis & Order Management: Fully utilize MRP to create and follow up on purchase orders.
  • Production Demand Evaluation: Provide commitments to new sales orders and manage delivery timelines.
  • Effective Communication: Work well with all levels of internal management and staff, and handle sensitive information with vendors and customer service.
  • Data Processing & Analysis: Maintain, analyze, and process data accurately.
  • SHE Goals: Develop, implement, and enforce SHE goals and objectives for the facility.
  • Report Creation: Generate reports and information packages.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain material master data, open purchase orders, and open stock transfer orders to ensure accuracy in SAP.
  • Team Support: Assist with overflow work and collaborate with diverse backgrounds to find solutions.
  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed records and generate presentations.
  • Warehouse Inventory Oversight: Oversee stock levels for multiple locations and maintain appropriate inventory flow.
  • Attention to Detail: Work accurately under high-pressure situations.

Formula for Success 

 

  • Bachelor Degree Business, Finance, or related field preferred, Associate Degree acceptable
  • Supply Chain experience (2-5 years) 
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite) is Required; Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Ability to work independently on many activities and projects with limited supervision 

  • Ability to clearly understand business processes Interpersonal versatility, well-developed planning, problem solving, decision-making skills
