The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a leading material science organization that has an opening for a CAD Drafter near Red Wing, MN

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares scale layouts, assemblies and details based on designed and/or specifications to meet business partners requirements.
  • Provide accurate dimensions to define appropriate views of parts and assemblies by drawing orthographic projection and isometric views.
  • Define number of components necessary to complete assemblies
  • Work with machine shop personnel, designers and/or engineers regarding design specifications and prototype design.
  • Attends design project review meetings

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in drafting or related
  • Understanding of drafting principles associated with technical drawing creation of individual parts and assemblies
  • Experience with Creo and AutoCAD
  • Adobe Illustrator experience is preferred
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well in a team environment
Additional Information
  • Hybrid role - must be able to meet in the office at least one day per week
  • contract opportunity at this time
  • 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
  • Pay rate approved up to $32/hr depending on experience
