Summary:
We seek a Quality Assurance Inspector at our manufacturing facility in Seattle, WA. This role will require you to accurately evaluate and document the receiving, in-process, and final inspection of highly intricate prototypes and custom parts and assemblies for a variety of applications from Aerospace, Naval, Energy Production, and R&D. You will need to pay extreme attention to detail, accuracy with numbers and personal discipline to work through suspect problems patiently.

 

Responsibilities:

· Provide expertise in Quality Assurance for CNC-manufactured parts, assemblies, complex tooling, and other components.
· Utilize advanced inspection equipment; CMM, Romer Arms, Faro Arms, and associated software, PCDMIS, PolyWorks.
· Hand inspects using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
· Create and review technical documentation related to Receiving, In-process, and Final inspection of Materials, Processes, and Completed Products.
· Ensure conformance with customer Drawings, Specifications, and Purchase Order.
· Assist the engineering department in implementing strategies to improve accuracy.

Qualifications:

· Have recent 3-5 years (min) working experience within a prototype machine shop atmosphere.
· Have a reasonable understanding of math, including trigonometry and geometry.
· Have a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
· Be skilled in the use of all measurement equipment and machinery within a manufacturing environment.
· Be able to read all blueprints and parts drawings for high tolerance, precision parts.
· Bring ideas to the table to increase speed and efficiency in the department.
