Position Overview:


Maü Miami is seeking an experienced and charismatic Lead Host/Hostess to oversee our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As the Lead Host/Hostess, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure a smooth and welcoming entry for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the host/hostess team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high standards of service.
  • Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and efficient check-in process.
  • Manage and optimize the reservation system to ensure effective seating arrangements and minimal wait times.
  • Coordinate with the restaurant staff to manage table assignments and maintain a smooth flow of service.
  • Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests both in person and over the phone.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are promptly cleared and reset for new guests.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station and entrance area.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating special events or large parties.
  • Ensure accurate wait time estimates and communicate effectively with guests during busy periods.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the host/hostess team, including scheduling and performance reviews.
  • Uphold Maü Miami’s standards of hospitality, service, and overall guest experience.


Qualifications:



  • Proven experience as a Lead Host/Hostess or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
