The Senior Accountant will:
· Ensure integrity of accounting by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
· Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
· Maintain balances and subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
· Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balance, and reconciling entries
· Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents
· Assist in month end close
· Manage the accounting side of the payroll process
· Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
· Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns
· Ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
· 3 + years experience in accounting (water, construction, manufacturing, industries preferred)
· Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and tax experience
· CPA a plus
· Experience in Sage Intacct and ERP integration a plus
· Advanced MS Excel
· Multi-branch/site experience a plus
· Excellent communication skills
