Job Responsibilities
General Automotive repair and services. You will work with a team of high skilled technicians to assist with minor repairs and the same time being exposes to some of the more advanced systems and repairs of automotive. Some responsibilities are mount & balancing tires, wheel alignments, battery & charging system checks, checking & changing fluids, changing belts & hoses, assisting customers with basic auto needs and questions. Assist Mangement finding and retrieving parts and basic in shop maintenance, cleanliness and appearance.
Additional responsibilities
- Inspect & advice on Advanced fuel control, delivery, engine management, and ignition systems
- Inspect & advise Electronic (ABS) and hydraulic brake system service, repairs, and replacement
- Inspect & advise Body electrical, electronics, and passive restraints
- Inspect & advise Steering, suspension, and alignments issues
- Basic understanding of Air conditioning and automatic temperature control systems service and repairs
- Inspection exhaust systems and catalytic converters
- Researching the vehicle that is being worked on for technical service bulletins and repair info
- Understanding technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include other employees and/or customers on an as-required basis
- Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
- Keeping store management aware of building and equipment mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Consistently taking the extra steps needed to achieve customer satisfaction
- Assist with state inspections and eventually obtain certification to inspection license
