Safety Trainer
This position is best described as a contributing training resource for internal and external customers. Work executed will be with a multi-discipline team. This position requires acquisition and knowledge of technical training skills and knowledge.
Background and Work Experience:
To be considered, candidates should have:
- Completion of an Associate’s degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university; or a combination of equivalent education and or experience will be considered with solid evidence of success.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
- Working knowledge of most recent edition of NFPA 70E “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.”
- Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Experience with technical training.
- Experience in an electrical environment.
- Experience in business development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Safety Trainer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provides user training to clients and employees as it relates to current electrical safety standards, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Explains technical concepts clearly.
- Adapts material to audience needs.
- Responds to questions and concerns.
- Tracks and reports performance and progress.
- Maintains accurate training records and timely filing of completed projects.
- Works both internally and with client contacts to develop training plans and structured on-site time for training employees.
- Interfaces with employees and client to resolve technical questions, customer concerns, and serves as a technical resource to our employees and clients.
- Evaluates program effectiveness and assists in the development of curriculum as standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Provides technical product support, consulting, and technical services to customers and employees relating to electrical safety.
- Travels to customer sites for training, support, and preps facility for training classes.
- Works within employer’s sales plan to contact, schedule, and initiate business.
- Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO’s standards and best practices.
- Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.
Travel Required:
Accommodate up to 75% of overnight travel for services at out-of-town client facilities. The amount of
travel is largely dependent upon project scope, schedule, and assigned tasks.
