Our two clinics The Vet Wellness Center of Green and The Vet Wellness of North Canton are looking to hire a full and or part-time RVT. Yes, we realize everyone is looking to hire. You can look at any ad and see the same requirements. We are no different, so I feel I don't need to list all the qualities and skills we are looking for. What you do need to know, is we don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk. I know many in the field won't leave because "why do I want to go somewhere else that doesn't appreciate me" or "I don't need a life" or "I'm used to not having a life." As an RVT of 15 years , 5 of them being a Practice Manager, "Yes you need a life." and "Yes the grass can be greener". Allow me to share some facts about our clinic:
- Independently owned (no corporate here)
- We practice good medicine.
- In 2023, the average overtime was 1.25 hours...per month. Can you say work life balance? It can happen in this field.
- If you are asked to stay after hours for an emergency surgery you are compensated with a small bonus, along with your hourly rate.
- Our hours are 9a-6p M-F, Saturday 8:30a-1p
- You will have 1 day off during the week and every other Saturday off.
- If you work a Saturday you get an additional 1/2 a day off for that week.
- Full time employees receive a $250 a month retention stipend.
- Our team hangs out together away from work.
- We actually have a training and mentoring program.
- Management praises the team for the awesome job they do and holds them accountable for areas that need improvement.
- We offer vet discounts up to 5 pets
- Everyone signs a no gossip agreement. (We aren't naive, we know it happens on occasion, but it's not the back stabbing, "mean girl" baloney.)
- You begin earning PTO day one of hire.
- Management empowers the team.
- Personal IRA with 3% match.
- It isn't all butterflies and rainbows. We have our moments. But they are discussed, resolved quickly and moved on.
