Location: Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Type: Temp to Full-Time

 

Position Summary

The Material Support Specialist provides comprehensive support for the purchasing, storage, movement, and control of materials and equipment, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all workplace safety and product quality guidelines.
  • Process and approve freight invoices through a 3rd party system; code and upload invoices into the ERP system.
  • Support the production planning department based on workload.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Unload incoming shipments and receive goods into the facility.
  • Run daily orders for shipping and set daily tasks.
  • Enter data into SAP to close out orders.
  • Prepare export documents, including hazardous material and international documents.
  • Work interdepartmentally and with other client locations.
  • Communicate with external vendors and customer service.
  • Handle claims and resolutions.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Contribute to division results and performance.
  • Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.

 

Position Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in a role involving logistics, booking, freight, etc.
    • Experience with ERP systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
    • Strong interdepartmental communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Work in noisy environments requiring hearing protection.
  • Exposure to varying levels of dust and dirt.
