Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Listen to customers' concerns and accurately diagnose service/repair needs.
- Provide clear and precise explanations of service recommendations and costs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate service orders.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure a positive service experience.
Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the shop
- Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow.
- Ensure that all service and repair work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
- Monitor and manage performance metrics, including productivity and profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support technicians.
- Conduct regular team meetings.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote efficiency and quality
- Address performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
- Prepare estimates and invoices for customers.
- Generate and analyze reports
Parts and Inventory Management:
- Coordinate with the technicians to ensure timely availability of necessary parts.
- Manage inventory levels and order parts as needed.
- Monitor parts usage and control costs.
Customer Relations:
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention and loyalty.
- Handle escalated customer issues and provide solutions to enhance service experience.
Technical Knowledge:
- Stay updated on new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and service standards.
- Understand warranty and service contract guidelines and apply them accordingly.
Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for additional services and repairs, upselling when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive education is a plus.
