Proficient in obtaining patient medical history and vital signs, promptly recording data in EMR and communicating patients concerns with physician
Prepare patient rooms prior to arrival and clean afterwards
Administer oral and injectable medication and immunizations by applying proper techniques, ensuring a comfortable patient environment
Support diagnostic and technical treatment procedures, such as setting up and operating special medical equipment and apparatus
Draw blood and collect patient specimens, adhering to proper specimen handling and preparation standards to guarantee quality and accurate laboratory results( ie: collect urine and fecal samples)
Verify patient pharmacy information and refill prescription orders under approval of physician
launch initiative to regularly distribute health-related educational pamphlets to patients, helping them achieve and maintain ideal health
Collect payment from patients and document
Responsible for stocking and maintaining exam rooms and medication necessary for treatment
Proficient with computers.
Able to handle multi line phone system and appointment calendar
Knowledgeable in ICD-10 & CPT designations, or willing to learn.
Empathetic with excellent interpersonal skills
Prefer certified phlebotomy tech
BLS certification
Certified Medical Assistant
CPR & first aid certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:
Office does not manage any Covid patient on site, all are managed remotely.
All patients entering office are required to ware mask and their temperature is checked.
