Accounting Clerk/Admin Assistant (Rocklin)

Job Description:

• Primary duties will be: accounts receivable collections, invoice disputes, filing, RMA tracking, reception, accounts payable tax credits, sales tax returns, general accounting back up and general office duties.
• May also perform routine accounting activities such as invoicing, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts payable or receivable functions
• Utilizes experience, judgment and creativity to plan and perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
• Answers questions from vendors and customers related to their accounts.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management.
• Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems.
• Performs other functions as assigned.
• Maintains current working knowledge of accounting procedures and methods.

Required Skills:

• AA Degree minimum
• 3+ years of related experience
• Organized, Detail Oriented, Strong Communication Skills, Positive Attitude
• Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution or Reseller with an emphasis on Technology products is a plus

Technical Skills:

• Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Outlook
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
• Proficient knowledge of computerized accounting systems (Sage or MAS 200 preferred)
