Human Resources Intern
The role of Human Resources Intern is to be filled by a well-organized and driven individual with an active interest in pursuing a career in human resources. The ideal candidate will be highly versatile and eager to take on whatever comes their way, and will also possess exceptional relationship building skills and a high level of discretion.
The Human Resources Intern will report directly to the Human Resources team (HRBP and HR Coordinator), and will fill this role on a part-time basis (3 days a week) for the duration of the summer of 2024 (late May or early June start).
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide consistently excellent administrative support to our Human Resources team on a range of HR-related domains, including:
- Recruiting
- Post jobs on a range of hiring platforms (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, college posting boards, etc.) and monitor their progress.
- Interview scheduling (contacting candidates, creating calendar invitation for relevant hiring managers, rescheduling as needed, etc.).
- Conduct basic initial phone/Teams screenings.
- Sit in on interviews with hiring managers, taking diligent notes and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Onboarding
- Collect required onboarding materials from new hires.
- Complete Form I-9 verification.
- Answer new hires’ basic onboarding-related questions, escalating complex matters to the main HR team.
- Coordinate with both IT and Reception to ensure desk and computer setups are ready for new hires.
- HRIS Administration
- Process leave requests.
- Make requested adjustments to timecards.
- Provide managers with various HRIS reports when requested (timecards, absence requests, etc.).
- Office Administration/Organization
- Organizing, managing, and maintaining our showroom.
- Organizing the office supplies closet, assisting employees in locating the supplies they need, and notifying the team when items need to be restocked.
- Miscellaneous Tasks as Needed

Ideal Qualifications/Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management or a related field (Business, Psychology, Etc.).
- Interested in pursuing a career in human resources.
- Prior HR experience is a big plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work gracefully and efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Formidable relationship building skills.
- Highly organized.
- Detail oriented.
- Superb communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
