Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsible for creating an inviting environment in which to engage clients. This will require excellent listening skills to aid the client through the design / selection process and achieve their goal within budget.

List of Essential Job Functions

As a Sales & Design Consultant your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ability to hear and interpret the client’s vision and offer products that would fit their budget and palette.
  • Utilizes technology when needed to assist clients in identifying their palette and design preferences.
  • Aids client in the selection of products, assembles and presents quote, and closes the sale with the client.
  • Takes initiative in responding timely to new and reoccurring customer inquiries be it personal, walk-in, internet, or from the phone.
  • Creates and maintains relationships with clients from inquiry through project management and beyond.
  • Provides proactive customer support during the project management phase to ensure all is proceeding according to plan.
  • Maintains retail, showroom hours and ensures environment is inviting, clean and prepared. This may require rearranging, organizing, and creating product displays.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relational skills.
  • Two years sales experience, flooring experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of MS 365 including Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Proficient in or willing to learn company software or apps such as RFMS, CRM, and Slack
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-through.
