TITLE: Senior Staff Accountant

SUPERVISOR: CFO

CATEGORY: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Extremely motivated and results-driven financial professional with exceptional leadership skills, background in Cash Management, Cost Accounting, Financial Statement Preparation. DUTIES:

. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue and monthly journal entries.

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying allocating, posting reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.

  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts preparing internal trial balance reconciling entries.

  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing financial Statements and other statements, for funders quarterly and working with Auditors

  • Preparation of annual agency budgets with CFO

  • Review monthly bank reconciliations make necessary entries.

  • Experience in managing governments grants

  • Auditing, reconciling and verifying documents for accuracy

  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.

  • Assist in compiling requested documents for auditors and regulatory agencies

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. CPA a plus

Experience: Minimum 5 years non-for-profit accounting a plus

Skills – Accounting Sage 50, Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently handling multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines.
