Job Title: Associate Finisher

Job Description:

Boyd Machine Co. Inc., a reputable family-owned CNC Machine shop based in Souderton, PA, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Associate Finisher to join our team. The Associate Finisher will play a crucial role in graining, honing, assembling, cleaning parts, conducting inspections, applying finishes, operating machines, including a laser, meeting daily production targets, and performing manual processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Part Finishing: Must be proficient in graining, honing, assembling, and cleaning all parts to ensure high-quality finishes and smooth assembly processes.  

2.      Inspections: Complete thorough inspections using visual and measurement tools to verify the quality and precision of finished parts.  

3.      Finishing Touches: Apply various finishes, including paint, to parts according to specifications and quality standards.  

4.      Machine Operation: Operate machines, including a laser, to perform finishing tasks and contribute to production. 

5.      Daily Targets: Meet set daily production targets to ensure timely completion of jobs and efficient workflow within the shop.  

6.      Physical Demands: Be prepared for long days on your feet, engaging in manual processes that require attention to detail and precision.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in finishing processes, assembly, and operating machines, focusing on meeting quality standards, is a plus but not required. 

Skills: Proficiency in graining, honing, and finishing techniques. The ability to conduct inspections, apply finishes, and operate machinery, including a laser, is a plus but not required.   

Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, along with the ability to meet daily production targets, work efficiently, and contribute to a collaborative team environment, is required.  

Physical Stamina: Willingness to work long hours on your feet, performing manual processes that require focus and attention to detail. 

Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to the team's overall success.
