Job Description :
The client is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Contract Analyst. Under limited supervision, provide administrative assistance, analysis and IT contract administration for the Information Management Division. There may be complex daily assignments issued by supervising staff. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and strong communication (including business writing), organization and analytical skills. In addition, this individual must be able to work well under pressure and handle a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities :
· Works with administrative staff, IM managers and other IM staff to prepare contract related documentation for review by the City Attorney’s Office.
· Works with administrative staff to create and maintain spreadsheets tracking contract renewal and licensing end dates.
· Works collaboratively with internal IM managers, IM and the client’s staff, key stakeholders and vendors on Division procurements.
· Conducts research on existing contracts and agreements held by the State of California as well as other state, county, city and other municipalities for contract piggybacking, to acquire
· goods and/or services.
· Gathers and analyzes data as needed to perform administrative support in preparation of special reports for the Division.
· Uses City’s financial systems such as MUNIS and Simpler reports.
· Organizes, maintain and updates electronic files, documents and records.
Education, Skills & Desirable Certification(s)
Required Skills
· Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and other related software.
· Attention to detail and able to effectively navigate a high pace environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to organize and plan so workflow is managed efficiently and accurately; must be able take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment.
· Ability to effectively manage numerous diverse projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to establish, build and maintain effective customer-focused working relationships with client's employees, managers, consultants, vendors, contractors, and others encountered in
· the course of performing work.
Required Experience
2 years (full time equivalent) of recent experience in contract management; data analysis, financial analysis, forecasting;
Education
· Four-year college degree with major in business administration, public administration, finance, communication, or a related business or technical field.
· Additional experience offering specific and substantial preparation for the duties of the position may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
