The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lasers, fiber optics, and advanced optical systems. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing laser and holographic systems for various applications and potential small team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop laser and holographic systems for specific applications
  • Set Up Optical prototype systems
  • Work with or manange other similar scientists
  • Work with lasers, fiber optics, and optical Fourier transforms to create unique advanced devices
  • Develop and optimize electro-optical servo systems and interferometry setups
  • Design, Implement, and fine-tune lasers and coherent optical systems
  • Utilize lithium niobate crystals for phase modulation of laser beams
  • Build and integrate piezoelectric stacks and laser phase modulators
  • Apply infrared optics principles to produce IR systems
  • Manage power measurements to ensure efficient operation of optical components and systems

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Optical Engineering, Lasers, Physics, Holography, or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in laser systems
  • Proficiency with lasers, fiber optics, and optical Fourier transforms
  • Experience with electro-optical feedback systems and interferometry
  • Knowledge of tunable lasers and coherent optics
  • Experience with phase modulation using lithium niobate crystals
  • Familiarity with piezoelectric stacks and laser phase modulators
  • Expertise in infrared optics and power measurement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with Matlab or Mathematica
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, inventive, high integrity, compassionate, empathetic
  • Utilize your creative mindset to generate new ideas and contribute to the overall development process, staying up to date on the latest advancements in holography and related technologies including SLM and DPSS.
  • Proven experience in holography principles, materials, and recording techniques. Strong understanding of Wave Front concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Passionate about pushing the boundaries of design engineering and contributing to technological innovation.
