Laser Physicist

Envisioneering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Laser Scientist / Physicist to support our current work at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory and field test evaluation of laser systems, as well as expertise in laser system characterization tests, infrared lasers, and ultra short pulse lasers.

This position requires a DoD Secret clearance and strong communications skills. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

• Conduct laboratory and field test evaluations of laser systems
• Perform detailed data reduction and analysis of laser systems
• Characterize laser systems using various tests and techniques
• Develop and implement new laser system designs and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

• Ph.D. in physics, engineering, chemistry, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years' experience in applications research, including experience in laboratory and field test evaluation of laser systems
• Current experience in laser system characterization tests, infrared lasers, and ultra short pulse lasers
• DoD Secret clearance
• Strong communications skills and ability to work in a team environment

Salary: $91,000.00 - $150,000.00
