Keltec Technolab, Inc., located in Twinsburg, is a family-owned, Ohio-based manufacturer of industrial filtration products for the compressed air, refrigeration, and natural gas industries. We are looking to add an additional skilled, experienced, Manufacturing Equipment Operator Technician to our growing manufacturing business. Direct-hire, 1st shift, full-time position available, in our clean, modern, non-union facilities. Company owned/provided tools.

The Manufacturing Equipment Operator Technician will be operating and maintaining the complex automated equipment of an air filter production line, including chemical pumping, metering and mixing equipment, robotic dispenser, oven, heater-chiller, and conveyors. As much of this equipment is specialized and industry-specific, we will train the right candidate who possesses the necessary skills and aptitude. This person will be expected to take ownership and responsibility for the production line, and will work with and support a team of 3-4 material handlers and parts loaders/unloaders.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of the daily operation, setup, changeover, adjustment, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor repair of automated manufacturing equipment and machinery, to meet production schedules and goals.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving basic product quality and equipment (mechanical, pneumatic and electrical) issues.
  • Monitoring equipment to ensure proper operation, efficiency and product quality.
  • Inspection and monitoring of in-process and finished products, to ensure conformance to drawings and quality specifications.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, consumables and supplies.
  • Assisting Engineering department with developing, testing and optimizing equipment settings, programs and recipes for new products.
  • Assisting Maintenance and Engineering departments with major equipment break-downs, rebuilds and repairs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience operating and maintaining automated production and manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanically minded
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Ability to read/write/speak fluent English
  • Energetic and motivated
  • Possess an excellent work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience operating and maintaining automated production and manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of maintenance, repair and replacement of pumps, valves, motors, prox sensors, pneumatic actuators and conveyors

· Experience in production planning and tracking software (ERP/MRP systems)

  • Bilingual in Spanish, or some conversational Spanish

Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm but may be required to start the shift 15-30 minutes early and stay 15-30 minutes late.
