Field Service Boiler Technician

Job Summary:

This position will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, pumps, water lines, steam lines, valves, and all related systems and equipment in industrial environments such as factories, power plants, campuses, hospitals, and commercial residential properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established protocols
  • Diagnose malfunctions of boiler equipment to determine the cause and then take the appropriate corrective action
  • Troubleshoot heating boilers, heating systems, and fuel power boilers with complex problems and the need for extensive repairs, using your experience and judgment to locate and fix malfunctions (often with no schematics)
  • Wire controls and motors for water tube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers and controls

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as Boiler or HVAC maintenance and repair
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of a technology program in Boilers and HVACs or equivalent
  • Prior OSHA 10 Safety training
  • Must be 21 ages of age and hold a valid driving license
  • Able to read and work schematics
  • Able to plan layouts from blueprints, sketches, and drawings and follow specifications, guides, codes, and work orders
