We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Assistant Controller to be part of our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting laws and regulations. The Assistant Controller is proficient in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-pace environment. *Bilingual - Mandarin speaking preferred

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing reports for managers
  • Review accounts payable documents and release payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Assist with audits and internal control procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in import/export industry
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • (5 to 7 years) experience working in accounting or finance role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g.,QuickBooks’s, SAP)
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
