Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise and mentor restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Schedule shifts, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak times.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Address employee concerns and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure that all members and guests always receive exceptional service.
  • Handle complaints, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and promptness.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant to monitor service quality and address issues as they arise.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and meets all health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure adequate stock.
  • Assist with menu planning and updates based on member preferences and seasonal availability.
  • Event Coordination:
  • Work closely with the events team to coordinate dining services for special events, banquets, and private functions.
  • Ensure that all event setups are completed accurately and on time.
  • Supervise the execution of events, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to company policies, health regulations, and licensing laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety standards and ensure the restaurant complies with all regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas of the restaurant meet hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a country club or upscale dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cost control and inventory management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
