Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Technician (Mechanic – Non-Automotive) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the repair and construction of various types of heavy equipment used in industries such as mining, construction, and material handling. The role involves diagnosing, breaking down and repairing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs and fabrication tasks.

- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate repairs and assembly processes.

- Conduct welding and fabrication work when necessary to repair or modify equipment components.

- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet repair deadlines.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for diagnostics, repairs, and fabrication.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.

- Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable.

- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.

 

Education and Certifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in heavy equipment repair is a plus.

- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
