Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Production Manager in the Fence Industry to coordinate daily with clients, subcontractors, manufacturers, and vendors. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Production Team, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee all construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to review materials, safety, labor, equipment budgets, site logistics, and other project-related issues.
  • Interpret project specifications and plans to determine construction requirements.
  • Assist in developing construction schedules, identifying potential issues, and implementing creative solutions for successful project delivery.
  • Oversee material orders and schedule necessary inspections.
  • Establish and maintain safety standards and best practices on all job sites, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Work with Sales staff to develop and track submittals and change orders.
  • Conduct and participate in regular progress meetings.
  • Inspect work progress and construction sites to verify that safety and design specifications are met.
  • Ensure all CRM reporting and updates are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor daily cost issues to adjust projections and keep projects on budget and schedule.
  • Prepare, schedule, and supervise the completion of punch lists.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site daily, including office and yard areas where applicable.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of construction experience as a superintendent.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and CRM tools.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience collaborating with teams through all project phases, from take-off through construction, to identify and resolve coordination and logistic issues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, work in confined spaces, lift and maneuver materials up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks in typical construction site settings.
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Fence related experience preferred.
