Position Overview:

Synapse Audio Visual Designs is seeking to add a Service Technician with at least two years of professional AV experience to our growing team. We execute projects beyond traditional AV, including entertainment lighting, theatrical systems, network design, & building wide automation. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in commercial AV installation and troubleshooting, with a background in multidisciplinary AV systems."

Candidates must meet the below requirements to be considered for this position:

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional AV experience
  • Should have basic to intermediate Crestron and control automation troubleshooting
  • Ability to fabricate AV racks and terminate wires accordingly
  • Basic fabrication and shop abilities as we are a highly custom firm
  • Proficient with PCs with strong networking knowledge
  • Ability to read AV CAD drawings and signal flows
  • Experience with CRM & client relations
  • Knowledge of Service Level Agreements
  • Have extensive experience with major AV systems manufacturers, e.g Crestron, URC, Symetrix etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client communication ability
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the job

Job Type:

Hourly:

  • $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (Plus overtime if required)
  • While we provide this range as general guidance, at Synapse we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Paramus, NJ 07652: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Audio Video integration: 4 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
