We are an established and growing CPA firm and are looking for a Payroll Associate to join our team who will be responsible for completing payroll for our client companies.

 

Duties and responsibilities include processing payroll, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy. You will operate in a team environment, working under tight deadlines.

 

Salary Range: $25-$30/hour with 401K, health insurance and PTO. Actual compensation may vary based on work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Essential Functions:

·         Responsible for processing multi-state, multi-level payrolls, and maintaining a high level of payroll processing accuracy. Including direct deposits, wage garnishments, weekly tax payroll tax deposits, workers compensation administration, quarterly and annual report filings.

·         Demonstrates effective business communication skills, oral and written, to facilitate effective service with clients.

·         Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients and employees.

·         Self-starter ensuring compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws, including training, policies and procedures.

·         Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

·         Ability to successfully work on multiple tasks with similar time frames.

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Ability to process a payroll with over 100+ employees.

·         Experience of 3+ years with payroll processing

·         Associate’s degree in accounting

·         Payroll certification a plus

·         Excel and word proficient
