Medical Front Office Coordinator - Must be able to float between clinics. 

Job Title: Medical Front Office Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Act as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and vendors, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient utilization of physician and facility resources.
  • Maintain electronic and paper medical records accurately and securely, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for patient visits and procedures.
  • Collect patient demographic and insurance information, accurately entering data into the practice management system.
  • Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting copayments and outstanding balances.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls, emails, and faxes.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Order and maintain office and medical supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on pending referrals.
  • Resolve patient concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area.
  • Stay updated on medical office policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a front office or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing processes.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
