Job DescriptionJob Description

Manufacturing technicians are responsible for complete project builds. Technicians are
required to read customer drawings and develop a plan for building projects. During
projects technicians will be called upon to solder connectors and wiring, to strip and tin
wires and crimp contacts on wires.


What Skills are essential requirements for a Manufacturing technician:


Successful candidates should have some mechanical or electrical background and be
familiar with hand tools. Experience in building cables and electronic chassis is a plus.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical drawings and blueprints is needed. IPC-620 J-STD
knowledge along with knowledge of potting and molding are a plus. Candidates should
be detail orientated and willing to continually improve workmanship and technical ability.

Beyond academic qualifications and technical proficiency, Manufacturing Technicians
should possess:

 

  • 2+ years experience
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of designs
  • Knowledge of production processes in a related defense industry preferred
  • Keen analytical abilities to interpret complex data and drawings
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good computer skills and informational notes
  • This is an on-site position and candidate should be professional, dependable, and punctual
