ADEC fulfills our mission through a variety of services, including residential living, day program activities, music and recreational therapies, employment services and transportation.

Celebrating our 70th anniversary in 2022, ADEC is a well respected agency in the community with 300+ employees providing services to over 1,000 individuals and their families in the Elkhart and St Joseph counties.

The Director of Supported Living leads the Supported Living Team in fulfilling this mission to 70+ individuals. This includes offering services that meet ADEC’s core values of:

The Director of Supported Living ensures ADEC’s strategic goal of “Outstanding Client Satisfaction” and “Excellence in Service and Highest Quality Standards” are met in all programming initiatives, including compliance with state, accreditation and ADEC policies and procedures. The Director needs to have the vision, ambition, and strategic planning ability to lead efforts to enhance and expand programming that meets current and forecasted needs of the IDD population. The Director needs to ensure that the Supported Living team has the resources, training, and support needed to provide quality customer service.

A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is strongly preferred, along with experience with the IDD population, leading a team, and implementing initiatives/programming to enhance and expand services.
