Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Overview: The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations and ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure efficient production flow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to resolve production issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement.
  • Monitor KPI's

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least three years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
