**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**LOCATION**

LOGIN Cook Supervisor Camden Health & Rehabilitation DESCRIPTION Camden Health and Rehabilitation is a 135-bed skilled nursing facility that is searching for an experienced Cook Supervisor. Under the supervision of the Dietary Director, the Cook Supervisor is responsible for preparing each meal and directing the Dietary Aides in their day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

* Supervise kitchen dietary aides.

* Direct, teach and make sure the Dietary Aides understand their job responsibilities.

* Supervise kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.

* Ability to enter resident diet information into the computer system and print out tickets for each meal

* Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.

* Assist in establishing food service production lines, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.

* Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.

* Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.

* Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.

* Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.

* Follow food production orders to ensure food is appropriate for therapeutic diets.

* Prepares food in advance for other meals as directed.

* Confers with the Director of Food Service and Dietitian regarding modified diet preparation, purchasing requirements, and the scheduling of employees.

* All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Nursing home kitchen experience.

* Experience in teaching and supervising kitchen staff.
