We are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team The diesel mechanic performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs on small engines, company vehicles, transit buses, and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate would possess a valid Commercial Drivers License with a clean driving record. The diesel mechanic must furnish their own tools.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel/gas engines and related components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy machinery, gas/diesel powered vehicles, transit buses, and small engines.
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble diesel engines
- Repair and replace faulty parts, such as brakes, hydraulics, and other components
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engine repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Familiarity with power tools and specialized equipment used in diesel engine repair
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles and techniques
- Understanding of hydraulics systems and their components

Certifications:
- CDL preferred (Class A or B)
- Clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
