Restoration Estimator

We’re looking for an Estimator to oversee projects for residential & commercial losses related to insurance claims including mitigation, abatements (flood, fire, mold) and construction or repairs. Will work hand in hand with all departments to provide estimates, scopes of work, get approvals on projects, assist with project design, project budgets, etc. We are seeking those with both sales and project management experience within disaster restoration, ideally for both commercial and residential.

 

Requirements:

  • Prefer an individual with experience in the restoration industry or construction.

  • Prefer an individual with experience using Xactimate

  • Knowledge and proficiency with computers

  • Professional correspondence

  • Attention to detail

  • A valid driver's license

  • Ability to travel out of town, if needed.

  • IICRC certification preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Calls on adjusters, property managers and other direct referral sources to support the overall project.

  • Receive loss assignments.

  • Work directly with mitigation staff to contact and possibly be on-site in as timely of fashion as deemed appropriate.

  • Prepares and estimates an accurate scope for various projects and seeks approval on estimates for project start.

  • Assist with monitoring and the collections accounts receivables from Customers and Insurance companies.

  • Coordinates with sub constructors, vendors, etc.

  • Assist project manager with project difficulties, supplements, and change orders.

  • Maintain documentation through notes & otherwise on personal inspections and project flow.

  • Update all necessary documentation on job management systems including adding pertinent documents

  • Maintain professionalism with project conditions: (i.e.: workmanship, homeowner relationships, safety, cleanliness, and trades people conduct).

  • Deliver necessary paperwork to the administrative department.

  • Facilitate coordination with the mortgage company when necessary to receive funds.

  • Coordinate invoicing and billing with the accounting office related to estimating and bidding.

  • Complete special assignments as requested by Supervisor

  • Participate in on-going problem solving and practicing continuous improvement of the department and company as a whole.
