The staffing industry is customer centered. We are looking for someone that understands the dynamics of the industry and is able to navigate them accordingly.
The HR Generalist stays current with employment law changes and company policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations, off-site training and development. Manages the employee health benefits. The HR Generalist must have a working knowledge of employment laws and practices. The highest level of professionalism and confidentiality are a must.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; helps in the annual update and preparation of the employee handbook.
· Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
· Produces labor reports and census reports as assigned.
· Must be willing to travel in the geographic area of Southern California to conduct training. Flexibility when required to schedule training during non-traditional working hours.
· Performs benefits administration in partnership with the company broker to include claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
· May be required to Conduct the on-boarding of new hires. A working knowledge of the I9, Notice To Employee, Arbitration and Confidentiality Agreements.
· Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
· Schedules weekly administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as/if required.
· Maintain employee files and other relevant documentation.
· Manages and creates a monthly newsletter.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
· Above average communication skills, verbal and written.
· Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels of the company.
· Minimum 3 years as an HR Generalist with experience employee relations, and employee communications.
· Must be knowledgeable of Federal, State and local regulation and codes, including OSHA.
· Efficient knowledge of office software and computer-based tools; Word, Excel, etc.
· Demonstrated facilitation skills.
· Demonstrated management and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated organizational skills.
· Knowledge of effective team-building approaches, and team dynamics.
· Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking.
· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
· Ability to address sensitive situations with compassion, empathy and professionalism.
Human resource Depart (Staffing Industry)
Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred.
Location: Orange, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
Must be fluent in Spanish and English
