Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the smooth production of high-quality food and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The successful applicant will have a strong passion for the food industry and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the kitchen
- Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure seamless service and exceptional customer experience
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation
- Provide help and support to kitchen staff as needed
- Ensure all food production meets the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing to new ideas and seasonal specials
- Maintain a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration
- Monitor and manage food service operations, ensuring efficient and effective service
- Assist with inventory control, maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of food production processes and safety protocols

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food production, menu planning, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet high standards of quality and presentation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Experience with inventory management and control
- Familiarity with food service management and restaurant management principles
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting a positive team environment
