Construction/Project Manager

Job Description and Duties

Determining a project’s needs in collaboration with various stakeholders

Coordinating, developing, job start information, schedules

Outlining vendors and subcontractor roles and responsibilities

Setting deadlines

Reviewing job(s), schedules, resources, etc., with the field superintendent

Tracking and reporting on the progress of each job

Managing equipment utilization

Handling job site emergencies and conflicts

Coordinating and managing personnel resources which includes hiring, evaluations and making changes when necessary

Developing PSSP’s or JHA’s for each project

Key components

Excellent communication skills

Be able to read, interpret and understand project documents

Problem solving skills and being able to solve these issues in a timely manner

Five+ years experience as a construction manager or project manager

Interpersonal skills such as; team-building, tolerance, diplomacy, awareness

Professionalism

Initiative, being able to plan ahead

Resourcefulness during challenging situations

Knowledge and Experience Factors

Working in the construction industry performing industrial and/or heavy commercial type construction projects with key emphasis on; civil work, structural concrete, structural and miscellaneous steel installation, mechanical equipment installations, process piping. Prior experience working in quarries (MSHA Part 46) a plus.

 

Salary – depending upon experience will have a starting base of $90,000 annually.

We also offer paid vacation, retirement, and medical benefits along with a company vehicle.

The working environment will be a combination of office work and visiting jobsites as necessary. Out of town and overnight stays may be necessary from time to time.
