Job Description: Alarm Systems Technician

As an Alarm Systems Technician, your role is vital in ensuring the safety and security of commercial and government buildings. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of alarm systems, from installation to maintenance, ensuring that every system operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Programming: You will install, program, and maintain state-of-the-art alarm systems tailored for diverse environments, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations specific to commercial and governmental settings. Your keen attention to detail will ensure every alarm component is positioned for optimal functionality.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Your ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics will be essential as you determine system layouts for installations. With skilled eyes, you will analyze designs to ensure strategic placements of alarm devices and control panels for maximum coverage and minimum interference.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: In your daily operations, you will perform troubleshooting and repairs on Fire Alarm Systems. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to help prevent system failures and ensure continuous protection.
  • Customer Support: Beyond technical duties, you will serve as a reliable point of contact for customers, providing expert technical support related to alarm system operation and maintenance. Your ability to convey complex technical information clearly will enhance client understanding and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of various fire alarm brands and systems.
  • Strong programming skills are a plus; additional training will be provided for those looking to enhance their technical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with both clients and team members effectively.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for the usage of a company vehicle.
