Job DescriptionJob Description

FLEXIBLE HOURS Knight Barry Title is seeking a part-time Construction Inspector to work approximately 10-15 hours per week. The Construction Inspector is responsible for visiting residential construction sites to ensure contractors have completed work as reported to the lender. The candidate hired will be required to travel between Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Fond du Lac, and Washington Counties to cover inspections. No formal construction experience is needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Visits residential construction sites; inspects and confirms that contractors’ obligations are complete.The inspections include taking a photograph of a list of items as instructed by our escrow staff. Commentary about each photo may be necessary (example: half of the first floor carpeting has been installed and only 25 of the 30 windows are in place)

  2. Complete paperwork (checklists) as required and be able to upload the photographs and checklists through email and/or a website.

  3. Communicates with fellow employees in a professional and cooperative manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Ability to physically maneuver around residential construction sites. Note that Wisconsin construction sites may be snowy or muddy depending on the time of the year. A vehicle that can handle unpaved road may be needed during these times.

  2. Ability to read and write.

  3. Ability to use a digital camera and/or a cell phone camera.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING

1. Valid driver’s license required.

2. A vehicle that can handle conditions outlined above.
